Clay pebbles are an excellent growth medium, holding water and nutrient for 5-6 days and releasing them at a controlled rate. These superior Atami Hydro Rokz clay pebbles, made specifically for the hydroponic growing industry, are now available from The BigShop as our standard clay pebble.

 They are pH neutral so there is no bother bringing pH down when using new pebbles but we do recommend washing them effectively to remove dust particles, and it will help your plants to develop quickly if you soak your washed pebbles in a diluted enzyme solution ie Atazyme, overnight, before putting them into a hydroponic system.

 Their irregular shapes give increased surface area to mass ratio, thus absorbing and releasing liquids more efficiently. The irregular shapes also allow for more air to pass around the roots.

 Clay pebbles can be re-used 4-5 times as long as they are well cleaned in between usage. Oxy-Plus is good to use when cleaning them after a grow, before 2nd and subsequent grows. We also offer quantity discounts- see below.
